Treblinka
Was an extermination camp
Built and operated by Nazi Germany in occupied Poland during World War II Active between 23 July 1942 and 19 October 1943
800,000 Jews were killed in its gas chambers, along with 2,000 Romani people The camp was destroyed by the Nazis in October 1943.
Treblinka Memorial Site is homage of the Polish people to those ashes lie under the concrete plates of the symbolic cemetery which composed of 17,000 stones.
